Lever Pad

A Lever Pad door handle made of upvc operates differently to the lever type handles found on most doors. These handles can work off one single spindle (inline) or independently from each side using two inline or offset spindles (pad). They are generally used on UPVC double glazed doors and come in many variations & finishes.

The handles have been tested to the minimum of 200 000 cycles and are available in various finishes, including White, Silver, Chrome & Gold. The finish is compliant with BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 5 and is also resistant to corrosion, which gives the handle a high degree of durability and performance for the intended use.

All UPVC lever pads for handles include a spindle and screws and can be mounted on a uPVC door. Certain cylinders come with extra features that can increase security, such as anti-drill or anti-bump properties.

To make sure that the euro cylinder is the correct size for your door, it must be measured accurately. The cylinder should be measured from the hole in the center of the fixing screw to each end of the cylinder and the thumb turn if you have one. It is recommended to do this while the lock is in place, but if this is not possible, you can remove it to take measurements. A cylinder that protrudes beyond the handle and escutcheon may be susceptible to attacks like lock snapping, so it is crucial that it's not too long.

The design of the latest cylinders includes anti-drilling and bump resistance features. These are designed to reduce attack chances by forcing the cylinders to rotate in a new direction. This can help deflect the attack, and keep your door safe.

Some cylinders are designed to withstand snapping. This is a growing method of attack on cylinders, which is where the break line of the lock is attacked using a special tool to break the front of the cylinder to allow the door to open. This is a faster and more convenient method of gaining access than through a multipoint locking system. It also leaves less evidence of the break-in which can make it difficult to prove insurance claims.

Spring Cassette

This spring cassette is found inside the base plate of your door handle. It is a spring-loaded solution to bring your multipoint lock handles to their resting position after use.
