How to Unlock the Key Blade that is Hidden Key Blade

Keyfobs for Volvo have evolved in recent years. They're more than just a remote for locking and starting your car; they can also roll down your windows, and give you a boost in an emergency. To unlock your key fob's full potential first, you'll have to learn how to use it.

The key fob you have is equipped with a transponder, which has been programmed for your Volvo. When you insert the key fob into the ignition barrel, transponder chips read the code and compares it with the one that is stored in the start inhibitor module of your car. If the codes do not coincide, your vehicle will not start. This is an important security measure that stops your Volvo from starting if the wrong key is used.

You'll need to take the key you lost to a dealer to have it replaced. Your vehicle will also be reprogrammed. This process can take between 5 and 10 days and will cost you lots of money. Luckily, there's an option to cut down on some of this expense by programming the system at home. You can find all the information you require in the owner's manual or on the Internet. Take off the logo and non-logo covers and place your key fob on an uncluttered surface. Press the grey button in the upper right corner of your fob. The cover will then be opened to reveal the CR2032 3V power source.
